Thank you for your service to our country and for your selfless sacrifice to serve others.
As Commander of the Greenlawn American Legion, Post 1244, it is my honor and privilege to offer you the opportunity to come and visit one evening, at one on our regular meetings. We meet the 2nd Wed of every month from 7:00 PM for a light dinner and refreshments.“ Our business meeting begins at 8 PM sharp and we are generally done and gone by 9PM.
While we are an informal group, as no one serves with rank, we conduct ourselves with the proper military respect you’ve come to appreciate. We are a brotherhood of veterans from all conflicts and we have no “cliques”. We are FAMILY.
A Message from the Commander
Every guest or new member will be assigned a partner to introduce you around and to help you assimilate into our group. You will be given the contact info for our Officers and you can contact anyone of them at your whim if you have any questions or comments. We are open to suggestions and appreciate the input of our younger veterans to help keep us relevant.
I sincerely hope that you will take me up on our offer and I look forward to meeting and speaking with you at length about how we can help veterans, … together ! Hey, … it’s what we do!
